Laura Rivas.
Plaintiff’s counsel
by deliberate choice.
Laura Rivas is a Senior Associate Attorney at J. Alexander Law Firm with more than nine years of legal experience representing injured Texans. A native of San Antonio raised in Allen, she earned her B.S. from Texas A&M University in 2012 and her J.D. with honors from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2016.
The path to plaintiff’s work was not accidental. During law school, Laura clerked at a corporate transactional firm and a criminal defense firm before discovering personal injury was where her conviction belonged. After graduating, she practiced at two other Dallas-based personal injury firms, representing plaintiffs, before joining the J. Alexander Law team.
Laura focuses on motor vehicle accidents, 18 wheeler crashes, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and premises liability matters. She brings the rigor of a courtroom litigator to client communication; her clients hear from her, not just from her staff, throughout the case.
Outside the firm, Laura travels often, attends concerts whenever she can, and spends as much time outdoors as Texas weather allows. The work is serious. The person doing it is steady.
